George Dennis was seriously injured in the collision in Epping Road, Ongar, at around 4.20pm on 10 July. He later died in hospital. A 48-year-old lorry driver from Derbyshire was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was subsequently bailed until mid-September while officers continue their investigation.
